Kim Kalman, vocals/guitar is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She earned her degree in business management while performing in local venues. After careful consideration, Kim chose to apply her business management skills to her own career in the music business. She followed her heart and never looked back. That road took her all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, where Kim has recorded all of her current CDs: Moonlight, At Last, Close, and her most recent releases, I'm Not Alone, A Christmas to Remember and Let the door swing wide. Nancy Monaghan, violin is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of music education from West Virginia University. Upon graduating, Ms. Monaghan began her teaching career as an orchestra director with the Chesapeake Public School system in Chesapeake, VA. Ms. Monaghan is currently in her 17th year teaching in Chesapeake and is the orchestra director at Hickory Middle School, where she teaches 180 young string musicians daily. Ms. Monaghan also maintains a private violin studio in her home, and remains active as a performer in the community playing at weddings, with various community groups, and with local bands.

Todd Parrish received his undergraduate degree in Music Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and his Master of Music degree in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Arizona, Tucson where he served as assistant conductor of the university orchestra. He played violin and viola in both the University of Arizona Symphony with private lessons from Bonny Terry, and in a graduate string quartet under the direction of cellist, Nancy Green. Mr. Parrish has been Director of Orchestras at Hickory High School in Chesapeake, Virginia since 2000. Also a talented arranger, Mr. Parrish has string arrangements of Mozart and Haydn symphonies published by Alfred Music. In addition to his exercising his arranging and conducting abilities, Mr. Parrish performs regularly at weddings and other local events.

Dr. Steven Raisor attended the Berklee College of Music, received a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from Barton College, a Masters in Music Performance from Norfolk State University, a Masters in Music Theory from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Humanities from Florida State University. Dr. Raisor is the Associate Professor of Music, Miles Clark Endowed Chair at College of the Albemarle where he teaches Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Applied Music, and Humanities. He serves as the director of the Community Band and musical theatre ensembles at COA. Dr. Raisor was voted 2008 Teacher of the Year at COA.

Heather Smith has been playing the violin for ten years and has performed in an Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, Central Park, the Kennedy Center, and the Vienna Concert Hall in Austria. She has also played as a violist in a string quartet at The Haydnsaal in Eisenstadt. In addition to her musical studies, Heather spends her time as a violinist and violist performing for weddings and teaching young students in the Hampton Roads area. She is also a dedicated education and performance major at Old Dominion University.

Sue Waters, viola is a graduate of the University of Maryland, majoring in music education. She has played in freelance groups in the Washington, DC area at the Kennedy Center and Wolf Trap. She has been in the Pensacola, Virginia, Corpus Christi and Maryland Symphonies. Currently, Sue is the media specialist at Manteo High School, she teaches the strings program at Manteo Middle School and performs with Trio La Mer.

Ruth Wyand graduated from Richard Stockton College with a Bachelor Degree in Music Theory & Composition. She studied voice with acclaimed voice coach Kathryn Agresta in New York City and received a scholarship from The Martin Guitar Institute to attend Master Classes at Duquesne University. She has been playing and touring on various stages throughout the US, New Zealand, England, Bermuda, France and Canada for over 25 years.
